The Victorian Association of Holistic and
Transpersonal Counsellors is established to provide a forum and
ongoing professional development for counsellors who work within an
holistic framework. The Association defines holistic counselling as
a theory and method of counselling which addresses the needs of the
client as a potentially integrated individual, taking regard to the
physical, imaginative, cognitive, emotional, interpersonal and
spiritual dimensions of experience. Transpersonal Counselling is
defined as a theory and method of counselling which takes full
account of the spiritual dimension of life through an exploration of
a variety of spiritual traditions of healing.
